Colours of Mama (COMO) is a safe, inclusive and equally represented community for mamas of colour to be acknowledged, valued, and celebrated. COMO serves as a culturally-sensitive community initiative which puts mothers of colour front and center. We prioritize finding and creating resources that cater to BIPOC families facing systemic barriers while promoting diversity consciously.
We believe all mothers deserve a diverse space in which they feel represented.

Our Vision
Colours of Mama Ottawa will foster a safe and inclusive community for mothers of colour and mothers of racialized children. By advocating for diversity in communities dedicated to mothers, identifying resources and opportunities for representation, and providing support to mothers and their BIPOC families, COMO will empower womxn and enhance the motherhood journey of its membership.
